It’s official. On the 4th of March, visitors and locals were able to walk the full length of the pedestrian bridge and have access to the landscaped plaza – for the very first time.

The project’s flythrough was also shown, which provides a clear 3D depiction of what the completed development could look like.

Stage 1 civil works at The Waterfront at Albany are now complete, with Stage 2 set to begin in early 2009.

LandCorp has also released (December 2007) an information brochure (8MB) which outlines the plan for the waterfront was developed, the history of its evolution, what each precinct will mean to the people of Albany, what each agency is responsible for, and the likely construction timetable.
