Technology

Overview

Located 23 km south of Perth is the State’s most recent Technology Park development at the Australian Marine Complex Technology Precinct. 

The Technology Precinct is destined to become the leading centre for innovative research; education and technology development for the marine, defence and oil and gas sectors in Australia.

Organisations that take up residence in the precinct will be locating to one of the world's most technologically advanced and sophisticated shipbuilding, marine, engineering and fabrication centres of excellence.

The cluster will enable innovation-driven small to medium enterprises from industry, as well as academia, research and support organisations to develop and prosper through the establishment of strategic networks within the Technology Precinct.

The Precinct is already home to leading defence technology group Raytheon Australia, which moved part of its Systems Group into a new purpose built headquarters in early 2005. The new facility is Raytheon's primary facility in Australia for naval systems software design and engineering.

Also based within the Technology Precinct is the $21m Australian Centre for Energy and Process Training (ACEPT), the shop front for Australian and international businesses wishing to access training associated with the marine and resources sectors. 
 
Central Services Facility
The Technology Precinct Central Services Facility is now home to a state of the art Function Centre; business support services and Technology Precinct Management. The facility will be fully operational in mid 2009.
 
Function Centre
The leading edge Conference Function room hire facilities capable of hosting small to large events such as seminars; conference; workshops; product launches; board meetings; team building and networking will soon be available. The Central Services Facility will also have a tavern, café and gym. 
 
Innovation Gateway
Technology Precinct tenants will have access to enterprise support services in an innovation centre environment.
