All development located in an ARA Redevelopment Area will require Development Application approval. Once issued with development approval, an application must be lodged with the City of Armadale for a Building Licence.

In light of recent changes in government policy and incentives relating to Sustainability, the ARA has reviewed the need for the continued application of its Sustainability Audit for new residential development. Accordingly the ARA Board has determined that :
The Sustainability Audit (including rain water harvesting requirements) is discontinued as a prerequisite for development in :
Subsequent subdivison stages in Champion Drive and Stage 2 of Champion Lakes;
Lots yet to be released to the market within Champion Drive and Champion Lakes; and
Other Redevelopment Areas yet to be developed.
In Summary, the Sustainability Audit and House Energy Efficiency Certificate still apply to Residential Stage 1 of Champion Lakes and current Residential Stages in Champion Drive.
