Vehicle access to Woodbridge Estate, which includes the Rockingham General Hospital, is currently only available via Elanora Drive. Local residents have expressed concern at the limited accessibility.
The construction of the Perth - Mandurah Railway, current expansion of the hospital and recent relocation of the St John's Ambulance Depot have further raised the importance of the issue. The City of Rockingham is working with the residents, Rockingham Kwinana Development Office and State Government agencies on the provision of an additional access route which will best meet the needs of the community and environment.
Current Status
Planning is underway on the best option for the route and integration with the existing road network.
