Rockingham Waterfront Village is a key RKDO project undertaken in partnership by LandCorp and the City of Rockingham.
The Village is located near the Rockingham foreshore and integrates first class community facilities with residential developments. The home sites have building guidelines to encourage a high quality residential development that suits local streetscapes.
The first development stage was completed in August 2005 and involved the transformation of the former Rockingham Oval into the Village Green. This includes a stunning war memorial, children’s playground, pathways, a water feature and other public art.
Current status
The Gary Holland Community Centre is being enjoyed by Rockingham residents, offering a range of business, tourism and community activities as well as providing for civic and social functions, conferences and seminars.
The Village Square is located adjacent and was opened in December 2008. It is the location for popular events including a weekly growers' market.
